Most small businesses don’t need a full-time IT department. They need someone who knows their network, answers the phone, and fixes the problem before it costs a day of sales. I am Geek provides ongoing IT support for businesses across the Nashville area, typically offices with 5 to 50 people, with the kind of personal attention a big managed service provider can’t match.
You work directly with Brian, a CompTIA Security+ and Network+ certified network engineer. No ticket queue, no call center, and no explaining your setup to a new technician every time.

What ongoing IT support covers
- Proactive network monitoring with alerts for downtime, threats and failing hardware
- Windows and macOS support: new computer setup, migrations, troubleshooting and slow-machine cleanups
- Security updates and patching for every computer on your network
- Backups that are actually tested, not just turned on
- Email security: SPF, DKIM and DMARC setup, plus phishing defense
- Multi-factor authentication rollout for email and key business accounts
- Vendor wrangling: internet provider outages, software licensing and hardware purchasing
- Onsite and remote support, with a typical response the same business day
Why a local IT partner beats “we’ll figure it out”
In a lot of small offices, IT is whoever is least afraid of the router. That works until the day it doesn’t: a phishing email gets through, the backup turns out to be empty, or the Windows 10 machine running the front desk stops getting security updates. Those problems are cheap to prevent and expensive to clean up.
We reach out first. When a critical update lands, when your gear reaches end of life, or when something in your network starts acting strangely, you hear from us before it becomes a problem.

How it works
Consult. We start by listening: what’s not working, what you want to work, and what’s already on the walls and in the closet.
Plan. You get a written plan: the equipment, where it goes, the cable runs, and what it costs. Nothing starts until you approve it.
Execute. We do the work, label it, document it, and walk you through it in plain English. Then we stay reachable for when you have questions.
Who it’s for
Professional offices, retail shops, medical and legal practices, churches, and growing companies with roughly 5 to 50 employees that want responsive, personal IT support without a long-term managed service contract.
Service area
I am Geek is based in the Nashville metro and works onsite in Nashville, Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, Hendersonville, Mt. Juliet and the surrounding communities. Onsite appointments run Tuesday through Thursday, with Mondays and Fridays open for onsite work and remote support.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. Many clients call us as needed, and others prefer ongoing monitoring and maintenance. We’ll recommend what fits your size and risk, not what locks you in.
Do you support both Windows and Mac?
Yes, along with Linux, printers, phones and the network gear that connects all of it.
Can you help with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?
Yes. We set up and secure business email, including multi-factor authentication and the SPF, DKIM and DMARC records that keep your mail out of spam folders and stop people from spoofing your domain.
What happens when something breaks after hours?
Monitoring alerts us to network outages, and remote support lets us fix many problems without a site visit. Onsite visits are scheduled as quickly as possible, and urgent problems are prioritized.
We already have an IT person. Can you still help?
Absolutely. We often work alongside an in-house “tech person” on network projects, security reviews and the jobs they don’t have time for.
